What to say about this? Possibly my favourite piece I've ever made! Literally unique, a one-off piece of wearable art!
I had a big box of donated fabric scraps, so pulled out ones that went nicely together and then spent many happy hours cutting them into strips, sewing the strips into squares, and the squares into bigger fabric (that I then cut into the gilet shape and quilted to a 100% cotton wadding).  The lining (and binding) is 100% premium brushed cotton and is SO soft. AND DID I MENTION IT'S REVERSIBLE?!! If you fancy flipping it for a bright, but plain vibe then you can! And you'll get to see the lovely LizzieBIG label at the top. 
 
The bias binding has been finished by hand, so there's no top stitching visible, and the quilting has a lovely wavy pattern.  The aquares on the back are also bigger than the ones on the front, for a bit of pattern drama!
